5 Warning Signs a Cheater Is on Your FiveM Server
Catching cheaters early keeps your FiveM server fair and your players happy. Here are five practical warning signs every server owner should watch for.

Why early detection matters
A single unchecked cheater can drive away dozens of legitimate players before you even notice. The faster you spot the signs, the less damage is done to your community's trust. This guide from the FairShieldAC team covers the patterns we see most often, and what to do about each. If you want detection handled automatically, see our protection plans.
The five signs to watch for
- Impossible movement — players teleporting, flying, or moving faster than the server should allow.
- Perfect aim under pressure — consistent headshots through walls or across the map, especially from new accounts.
- Resource or event spam — unusual spikes in triggered events that legitimate gameplay wouldn't produce.
- Sudden economy anomalies — money or items appearing without a matching in-game source.
- Repeat rejoins from the same hardware — a banned player returning under new names but the same device.
Quick reference
| Warning sign | What to check |
|---|---|
| Impossible movement | Server-side position and speed validation |
| Wallhack / aimbot | Line-of-sight and hit-registration logs |
| Event spam | Trigger frequency per player |
| Economy anomaly | Transaction source vs. inventory changes |
| Ban evasion | HWID and cross-server ban history |
None of these signs is proof on its own, but together they paint a clear picture. A layered anti-cheat catches all five automatically — read more in our blog.
